IF YOU WERE EXPOSED TO SPANISH while growing up, and would like to reclaim the language of your ancestors, this class is for you.

Like you, an increasing number of people who were exposed to Spanish during their childhood find that, as adults, their skills are not sufficient for academic, professional, or other demanding environments. Heritage language learners retain a wide spectrum of proficiency: some have a low level of speaking ability; others may have a higher degree of bilingualism, but are not fluent. Whatever the level of proficiency, heritage speakers of Spanish have different linguistic and pedagogical needs than do students learning Spanish as a second or foreign language.

Our methodology, prepared by professors who are experts in the field, is specially designed for the “recovery” of language, as opposed to the “acquisition” of language. This course offers you an effective path to revive and strengthen the legacy of your ancestors.
